October is behaving fairly normally this year! Our hunters have, however, had a difficult time getting deer on the ground. Either through passing up shooters the first sit (or two) or just letting frustration overtake better judgement. I am sure, shooter bucks (and those of us that know how to hunt them); share a similar mantra…”when your adversary is making mistakes, don’t interrupt them!”
Here is some video of a nice 9-point; about 140″ on the hoof when the popular belief in camp was “all shooters are nocturnal this week”. Over reliance on trailcam data can be fatal!
